The Vision and Mission of the Department of Special Education
The vision of Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Education Faculty, Department of Special Education is to train teachers whose aim is to enable individuals of special needs in our country and in the world to be independent, productive and to become active participants of the society.
Also, the department’s aim is to train academicians who are both expert on training teachers and do projects and researches thanks to post graduate education in the department.
The mission of the Department of Special Education is to train competent educators about education of individuals with special needs and to create, develop and disseminate information.
The academicians in the department make this mission possible by;
(a) training leaders who will work as researcher and educator in the special education field,
(b) organizing scientific activities and doing researches to develop knowledge,
(c) cooperating actively with individuals with special needs, their families, governmental and private institutions, schools, local, national and international institutions, and providing resource and consultancy for individuals with special needs and their families, and teachers who is working in the field and teachers candidates who will work in the field.
